Hello! My name is Evelyn Eck, and I’m an Industrial Designer originally from Denver, Colorado, but currently living in Arizona as I attend Arizona State University. Here, I am getting my undergraduate degree in Industrial Design with a minor in Studio Art. At ASU, I have developed my skills in design thinking, researching, sketching, making prototypes, CAD, and more. I have also learned skills in wood working and have just begun exploring digital fabrication techniques and metal work next.

I am interested in furniture design, as well as designing products for children, but at the core of all my design work, I want to make people feel and experience something new. If those feelings are joy, comfort, or fun, then I know I've done a good job. I want to create things that have meaning in peoples lives.

As a young designer, I am most interested in learning through doing, as well as learning through those around me. Community is at the heart of design, and establishing a good community, wether that be with users or with your peers, is what leads to great design work. The first step to creating such a great community is reaching out.
